A Partner in Huntingdon-based local chartered accountancy firm, George Hay, has recently been appointed Chair of the UK200Group’s Property & Construction Committee.

The UK200Group was formed back in 1986 and is the UK’s leading association of independent chartered accountants and law firms with international links in almost 70 countries.

The appointment of Toni Hunter was announced at the UK200Group’s Property & Construction Committee meeting in London on 03 April 2019.

The association, whose mission is to ‘build better together’, brings together around 150 member offices in the UK, who serve around 150,000 business clients.

Members of the Property & Construction Committee have an in-depth understanding of this diverse sector with experience in helping clients develop strategies that will maximise value for their business.

Toni was already a member of the Committee, prior to her appointment as the new Chair which sees her replace outgoing Chair, John Painter, Managing Partner at CB Chartered Accountants in Worcester.

Toni said, “I am delighted to have been asked to take the helm of the UK200Group’s Property and Construction Committee and have already made a mark on our future strategy. John has done a great job in his tenure and I hope to be able to follow his lead.”

“The property sector can be volatile and challenging for those operating within it. The Committee is an extremely valuable tool for us as members, and for our clients too, as it allows us to share expertise and deliver an enhanced service to the businesses we work with.”

Toni, who has been with George Hay for over 20 years, is a Partner and qualified accountant based at our Huntingdon office.
