Posted: Fri, March 1st, 2019

It’s a big year for Shakespeare at The George this year as they celebrate their Diamond Jubilee with two very different plays.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Tuesday 25th June – Saturday 6th July
(with a break on Sunday 30th June)
Stagetext captioned performance Tuesday 2nd July

The 60th Anniversary Summer Production will be A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Dean Laccohee.

The production will be performed in the courtyard of The George Hotel, Huntingdon, and runs from Tuesday 25th June to Saturday 6th July (with a break on Sunday 30th June) with a Stagetext captioned performance on Tuesday 2nd July.

The atmospheric Jacobean Courtyard of The George provides and evocative setting, much as audiences would have experienced in Shakespeare’s time.

Written in 1595/96, for centuries A Midsummer Night’s Dream has been one of Shakespeare’s most popular works.

37 plays. One new story. Murder. Cross-dressing. Mistaken identity. True love. Just an average Shakespearean day.
